Enable the SAP HANA agent after host IP address change

After the IP address of the SAP HANA agent host is changed, you must verify the SAP HANA agent operations and reregister the SAP HANA agent.

About this task

Perform the following steps to enable the SAP HANA agent operations after the IP address is changed.

Steps

  1. Unregister the SAP HANA agent from PowerProtect Data Manager by running the unregister.sh script from the /opt/dpsapps/agentsvc/ directory.
  2. Change the IP address of the SAP HANA agent host.
  3. Verify that the SAP HANA instance operates without any issues after the IP address change. You can validate the SAP HANA operation by logging into hdbsql with SYSTEM credentials and running self-service backups from the SAP HANA CLI and SAP HANA Studio.
  4. Reregister the SAP HANA agent with PowerProtect Data Manager by running the register.sh script from the /opt/dpsapps/agentsvc directory.
