To move a File System agent from one
PowerProtect Data Manager to another
PowerProtect Data Manager, perform the following:
Steps
Delete the asset source from
File System agent. It makes the agent services stopped/decommissioned.
On the
File System agent host,
Uninstall the
File System agent, which uninstalls agent services.
Delete the
install_dir\dpsapps folder.
Install the
File System agent and provide the
PowerProtect Data Manager IP during the installation.
If you do not want to uninstall and use the existing installation and connect to the new
PowerProtect Data Manager server, perform the following to move a
File System agent to a new
PowerProtect Data Manager:
Steps
Remove these files and folders from the
File System agent host: dbs, ssl, config, and logs.
Using the
Change option in the Windows installer or run
install.sh on Linux/AIX and provide the IP/FQDN of the new
PowerProtect Data Manager for registration.
