PowerProtect Data Manager 19.12 Cloud Disaster Recovery User Guide

Uninstall and clean up of Cloud Disaster Recovery resources

The uninstall option for Cloud Disaster Recovery is unavailable in the current version.

Configure the PowerProtect Data Manager server for DR backups as mentioned in Configure PowerProtect Data Manager server DR backups section of PowerProtect Data Manager Administration and User Guide and take a snapshot of the configuration. Use this snapshot to revert PowerProtect Data Manager to predeployment.

Once you revert to predeployment configuration, from the Amazon Web Services console. perform the following tasks in the order presented to clean up the cloud-based resources:

Delete the Cloud Formation stacks from all regions that you used (named CDRS-DeployStack, CDRS-RDSCluster, CDRS-RestoreService). Deleting a Stack on the AWS CloudFormation Console section on AWS CloudFormation User Guide
Delete the EC2 key pairs that are named CDRS-KeyPair and CDRS-RestoreService. Amazon EC2 key pairs and Linux instances section on Amazon Elastic Compute CloudUser Guide for Linux Instances
Delete the IAM role that is named CDRS-Role. Deleting Roles or Instance Profiles section on AWS Identity and Access Management User Guide
Delete all S3 buckets that were used as Cloud Disaster Recovery targets. Deleting or emptying a bucket section on Amazon Simple Storage Service Developer Guide
NOTE Perform this step only if the S3 buckets are not being used for purposes other than Cloud Disaster Recovery.
Unregister AMIs, and delete snapshots that Cloud Disaster Recovery server created for rapid recovery of VMs. Deregistering your Linux AMI section on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud User Guide for Linux Instances

Look for AMIs and snapshots where the Cloud DR server is displayed in the Created By tag name.
