This topic describes how the
PowerProtect Data Manager UI behaves for failed login attempts. These steps also change the behavior of the lockout mechanism that regulates failed login attempts through the UI.
About this task
By default,
PowerProtect Data Manager UI user accounts are locked out after five failed login attempts. After reaching this threshold, the default lockout period is five minutes before you can try logging in again.
Steps
Connect to the
PowerProtect Data Manager console as an admin user.
Using a Linux text editor, open
/usr/local/brs/lib/aaa/config/application-server-custom.properties.
Modify the following properties:
Property

aaaServer.userMaxUnsuccessfulAttempts
The number of failed login attempts after which
PowerProtect Data Manager locks out the user account.
aaaServer.userLockoutTimeInMinutes
The number of minutes for which
PowerProtect Data Manager locks out the user account after exceeding the failure limit.
Save and close the file.
Apply the new configuration:
aaa restart
