Configure an NFS network share on a Windows server

When your network share is Windows-based, use Windows Server Manager for offline software update and backing up OpenManage Enterprise appliances.

Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Open Windows Server Manager.
  2. Click File and Storage Services > Shares, select the share, and right-click Properties.
  3. In the Share Properties screen:
    1. In the Authentication screen, select No server authentication and Allow unmapped user access by UID/GID.
    2. In the Share Permissions screen, click Add, add a Host (IP address) for each appliance, and provide Read/Write access to each appliance.
  4. Click OK.

Results

The NFS share is ready for input or output.
