Specify discovery mode for creating a network switch discovery job
Steps
- From the Device Type drop-down menu, select NETWORK SWITCH.
- Enter the IP address, host name, or IP range in IP/Hostname/Range.

If the OME Services plugin is installed on OME, you can select the protocol used to discover the switch (SNMPv2, SNMPv3, SSH).
NOTE To ensure that OME plugin services are able to interact with your network switch, fill out the following fields:
- SNMP public string
- SSH Username (Available under Additional Settings)
- SSH Password (Available under Additional Settings)
- SSH Enable Password (Available under Additional Settings)
- Click Additional Settings to customize the respective discover protocol according to Create customized device discovery jobs for SNMP devices or Create customized device discovery jobs for SSH devices.
