Network authentication using IEEE 802.1x

IEEE 802.1x is the standard that is used for authenticating a device on the network. You can configure the IEEE 802.1x authentication for a wired network connection using Wyse Management Suite. From DHC 2403, you can click the Enable Login Screen 802.1x Connectivity toggle key to keep the 802.1x network connected when you log out or restart the device.

The following 802.1x authentication types are supported:

  • EAP-PEAP (MSCHAPv2)—Supports 802.1x authentication that uses Active Directory domain user credentials for EAP-MSCHAPv2 authentication.
  • EAP-TLS—Supports certificate-based authentication that uses SCEP for certificate enrollment.
NOTE:When you select the 802.1x user mode or machine mode, the corresponding SCEP must be selected for all configurations.
