Configuring RDP Session Settings from Wyse Management Suite

This session describes the procedure to configure the RDP session settings using Wyse Management Suite.

1. Log in to Wyse Management Suite.
2. Go to the Groups & Configs page and select your preferred group.
3. Click Edit Policies > Dell Hybrid Client 2.x.
4. Click the Advanced tab.
5. Expand Session Settings and click Microsoft Remote Desktop Session Settings.
6. You can configure the following settings for RDP session.

   

   • Notify On Disconnect - Enable or disable the Notify On Disconnect toggle key for turning on or turning off the notification during disconnection.
   • Sound mode - The drop-down provides two options: Local and Remote. Selecting Local enables sound on the local machine, While selecting Remote enables sound on the remote machine.
   • UDP - If this option is enabled, it enables the UDP networking in the session.
   • Wallpaper - Enables you to change the wallpaper in an RDP session.
   • Font Smoothing - Enables the font smoothing when fonts are rendered.
   • Menu And Animation - Enables the menu and animation in the session.
   • Grab Keyboard Events - Enables the keyboard event grabbing in any direct RDP connection session.
   • Low Bandwidth - Enables the low bandwidth connectivity for RDP sessions. After you enable Low Bandwidth, you should select the bandwidth option from the Speed Level drop-down list. The performance is handled based on the bandwidth that you select.

     

   • Color Depth - You can select the color mode from the Color Depth drop-down list.

     

   • Printer Redirection - You can enter the printer path for printer redirection.
   • Drive Mapping - You can enter the drive paths for drive mapping. A maximum of 26 drive paths are supported. For example, /tmp/drive.
