Configuring a Keyboard using Wyse Management Suite

You can configure the keyboard using Wyse Management Suite.

Steps

  1. Log in to Wyse Management Suite.
  2. Go to the Groups & Configs page, and select your preferred group.
  3. Click Edit Policies > Dell Hybrid Client 2.x.
    The Configuration Control | Dell Hybrid Client 2.x page is displayed.
  4. Click the Advanced tab.
  5. Expand Peripheral Management, and click Keyboard.
    You can configure the following keyboard settings:
    • Keyboard Repeat Rate- Keyboard Repeat Rate is the speed at which a keyboard registers a key being held down and then automatically repeats the key input. This can be set to Slow, Medium, or Fast.
    • Keyboard Repeat Delay- It is the duration of time a key must be held down before the keyboard starts generating repeated inputs of that key.
    • Keyboard Layout- Select any keyboard layout as the default layout, for example, English.

    • Keyboard Layout List:
      1. From the Keyboard Layout drop-down, select any keyboard layout as the additional keyboard layout, for example, English.
      2. Select any Keyboard Layout from the Keyboard Layout List, for example, French. Save and publish.
      3. Log out the device and in the login screen check if the selected keyboard is applied.
      4. On the login screen, enter Username and Password. It takes input with a selected keyboard layout.
        NOTE: The Keyboard Layout for Chinese, Korean, and Japanese must install the full language package from Wyse Management Suite and has to configure the system with the respective language for the particular layout.
        NOTE: If you select keyboard layout from the Wyse Management Suite, it is applicable for Dell Hybrid Client Login Screen and Dell Hybrid Client Desktop. But if you select keyboard layout from device settings, it is applicable only for Dell Hybrid Client Desktop.
    • Num Lock- Click on this toggle button to enable or disable the Num Lock
    • Printscreen- Click on this toggle button to enable or disable the PrintScreen Note: Press Alt+printscreen or Only PrintScreen button can take the screenshot of the desktop when it is enabled.
