Upgrade BIOS manually from command line

You can use command line to upgrade BIOS manually.

Steps

  1. Download the BIOS file (.cab) from service provider website.
  2. Open the terminal and go to BIOS file location and run below commands with root user privileges.
    fwupdmgr install filename.cab

  3. Press the y key to reboot the device.
    The device restarts and starts updating the BIOS automatically.
