inherit template

Configures a peer group template name that the neighbors use to inherit peer-group configuration.

Syntax
inherit template template-name [inherit-type {ibgp | ebgp}]
Parameters
  • template-name — Enter a template name. A maximum of 16 characters.
  • inherit-type {ibgp | ebgp} —To associate a template to an unnumbered peer, specify the inherit-type. The options are ibgp and ebgp.

Usage Information
When network neighbors inherit a template, all that are enabled on the template are also supported on the neighbors. The no version of this command disables the peer group template configuration.

OS10(config-router-template)# weight 100
OS10(config-router-template)# exit
OS10(config)# interface ethernet 1/1/1
OS10(conf-if-eth1/1/1)# no switchport
