Expand the file system

Prerequisites

The new storage must be added to the file system before it can be used.

Complete the following tasks to add the new storage to the file system.

Steps

  1. Add the storage to the file system.
    • Run the filesys expand command. 
      # filesys expand
  2. Run the filesys show space command to verify the system recognizes the additional capacity. 
    # filesys show space

  3. Run the disk show state command to verify the system displays a status of In Use for the new disks.
