Change service account from GCP console

This process is applicable only for OAuth 2.0 authentication to the cloud storage.

Prerequisites

Before proceeding with this task, create the service account as described in the Cloud storage authentication method.

The user who is updating the service account must have these permissions:

  • compute.instances.setServiceAccount
  • iam.serviceAccount.actAs

Steps

  1. From the GCP console, navigate to the VM instances page.
  2. Click the DDVE instance name for the service account that you want to change.
  3. If the DDVE instance is running, click the Stop button. Wait for the DDVE instance to stop.
  4. When the DDVE is stopped, click the Edit button.
  5. Scroll down to the Service Account drop-down menu. Select the service account.
  6. Click Save to save the configuration change.
  7. Click the Start button to power on the DDVE instance.
