Capacity forecast

This dashboard shows capacity trends and forecasts future growth over time.

To see your projected capacity limits, select ≡ Storage monitoring > Capacity dashboard > ≡ Show Capacity forecast > Capacity forecast.


Page section	Use case
Top N nodepools. At the top of the page, sort nodepools and tiers by: capacity used, growth rate, max capacity used %, or time to full.	Shows where capacity is available and where it is growing the fastest.
Top N tiers. At the top of the page, sort nodepools and tiers by: capacity used, growth rate, max capacity used %, or time to full.	Identify groups of nodepools where capacity is available and where it is growing the fastest.

The calculation for Capacity used % includes virtual hot spare size, and excludes unprovisioned capacity. At times, capacity used % may exceed 100%.

Select a report in this view to see Capacity details of a nodepool.

To exit from the detail view and return to the overview, select Capacity dashboard.

To see your projected capacity limits, select ≡ Show Capacity Forecast > Capacity Forecast.

The default time range of the forecast dashboard is changed from now-90d to now+90d:

Relative time range shows now-90d to now+90d

When you hover the chart, details appear showing each nodepool, and the actual or forecasted used capacity compared and the total capacity (90%).

To see details for a single nodepool, select the nodepool from the legend at the bottom of the page.

In the following example, the selected node is predicted to hit 90% capacity on 2011-11-10.
