PDF

Prepare the DataIQ installer

Copy the DataIQ installer packages to the DataIQ server and extract the installer files.

Steps

  1. Copy the DataIQ RPM package to the DataIQ server to a folder, for example, /home/administrator.
If you are setting up DataIQ on a system that is not connected to the Internet, also copy over the DataIQ Dependencies RPM package.
  2. Open the superuser prompt, if it is not already open:
    sudo -i
  3. Go to the folder with the installer, and note the name of the installer file:
    cd /home/administrator
    ls
  4. If you are setting up DataIQ on a system that is not connected to the Internet, extract files from the DataIQ Dependencies RPM package, for example:
    yum install dataiq-dependencies-2.2.2.0-5.el7.noarch.rpm
  5. Extract files from the DataIQ Install and Upgrade RPM package, for example:
    yum install dataiq-2.2.2.0-67.el7.noarch.rpm
  6. Recommended: If your system is connected to the Internet, add the latest security updates for your version of Linux.
    yum -y update --security
NOTE Do not run a full yum update, as a full update may update Linux to an unsupported version.
