Backup and restore
You can back up and restore DataIQ configuration data, file and folder metadata, storage monitoring data, and plug-in data.
| Type of data | Path | Size |

| Configuration data | A path that you specify, for example, /mydrive/backup-dataiq. | Several MB. |
| Data management data | The default backup path is /mnt/ssd/data/claritynow/ssd/backup. | This file starts as several hundred KB, and may grow over time to be several hundred MB.
Do not remove this folder, even after a system backup or recovery. |
| Storage monitoring data | The default backup path for a backup is
/opt/dataiq/backup/timescale . |
A backup is roughly 10% of the size of the total database. |
