vcenter add

Use the vcenter add command to add a vCenter server as vCenter server object in the Cyber Recovery deployment. A vCenter server is required for the PowerProtect Data Manager application in an on-premises deployment; it is not required for deployments in Amazon Web Services (AWS). Only an admin user can access this command.

Syntax

crcli vcenter add --nickname <nickname> --hostname <host name> --username <vCenter username>[--tags <tag text>]

Parameters

--hostname, -h <vCenter host name>
(Required) The host username of the vCenter Server
--nickname, -n <nickname>
(Required) A meaningful name for the vCenter Server object
--tags, -t <tag text>
(Optional) User-defined tags for the vCenter Server object
--username, -u <username>
(Required) The username of the vCenter Server object

Example

[root@cr-system]# crcli vcenter add --nickname vault-vcenter --hostname phmcr107.lab.acme.com --username administrator

Enter the password for vault-vcenter:
administrator password:

vCenter: vault-vcenter added to the system successfully.
