Monitoring storage capacity

Monitor the capacity of vault storage in the deployment.

Prerequisites

  • You are logged in as the admin user.
  • Vault storage is added to the deployment.

Steps

  1. From the Main Menu, select Infrastructure > Storage > Capacity.

    The Capacity page lists the vault storage physical and logical storage information. The Percentage Used column displays a status bar with the physical storage used. Hover over the status bar to see a pop-up window with details information.

    If the storage capacity is between 80 and 90 percent, the status bar is yellow and is preceded by a warning icon. If the storage capacity exceeds 90 percent, the status bar is red and is preceded by a critical icon.

  2. To view more detailed information and open the details pane, click the vault storage row:
    If the file count or number of active MTrees exceeds the threshold, the number is preceded by The image shows the yellow warning icon, which indicates that a threshold has been exceeded. to indicate an alert.
    1. Click View Alert Details for File Count or Active MTrees to display the alert details in the Alerts and Events window.
    2. Click the number next to the appropriate label to view active or deleted MTrees.
      A list of active or deleted MTrees is displayed.
    1. Click Icon with a right-facing arrow that closes the details pane to close the details pane.
    2. Click Icon with a left-facing arrow that opens the details pane to open the details pane again.
