policy add

Use the policy add command to add a policy into the Cyber Recovery deployment. Only an admin user can access this command.

Syntax

crcli policy add --policyname <policy name> --mgmtddnickname <PowerProtect DD name> --mgmtddreplctxname <replication context> --mgmtddreplethinterface <replication interface> --policytype {Standard | PPDM} [--enforcereplwindow {true | false}][--newpolicykname <name>][--polictype {Standard | PPDM}][--replwindow <days or hours>][--retlockautomatic {true | false}][--retlockduration <days or hours>][--retlocktype {governance | compliance | governance-disabled}][--retlockmax <days or hours>][--retlockmin <days or hours>][--securityuser <username>][--serverdr <server context>][--tags tag text]

Parameters

--enforcereplwindow, -l {true | false}
(Optional) Enforces the replication window timeout (the default is false)
--mgmtddnickname, -i <PowerProtect DD name>
(Required) The name of the vault storage
--mgmtddreplctxname, -c <replication context>
(Required) The replication context of the vault storage to be protected
--mgmtddreplethinterface, -e <replication interface>
(Required) The replication interface that is associated with the replication context
--policyname, -n <policy name>
(Required) The name of the policy that you want to create
--policytype, -p {Standard | PPDM}
(Required) The type of policy
--replwindow, -r <timeout value>
(Optional) The replication window timeout value. The default value is -1.
--retlockautomatic, -a {true | false}
(Optional) Enables the automatic retention lock feature
--retlockduration, -d <days or hours>
(Optional) The retention lock duration time (the default is 12 hours for both compliance and governance mode)
--retlockmax, -x <days or hours>
(Optional) The retention lock maximum time value (the default value is 45 days for governance compliance modes)
--retlockmin, -m <days or hours>
(Optional) The retention lock minimum time value (the default is 12 hours for both compliance and governance mode)
--retlocktype, -y {none | governance |compliance}
(Optional) The type of retention lock to configure (the default is governance)
--securityuser, -u <username>
(Required initial for Retention Lock Compliance replication context configurations and for compliance retention lock operations) The DD Storage Security Office (SO) username. This parameter is required if you are configuring a policy with a Retention Lock Compliance replication context for the first time and running DD OSS 7.8.
--serverdr, -s <server context>
(Required for PPDM) The server context of the vault storage to be protected
--tags, -t <tag text>
(Optional) User-defined tags for the policy
