PowerProtect Cyber Recovery and DDVE

To function on Google Cloud Platform, the Cyber Recovery software requires that PowerProtect DD Virtual Edition (DDVE) is also installed on the Google Cloud Platform VPC. The Cyber Recovery solution deployment on Google Cloud Platform installs DDVE.

DDVE is a software-only protection storage appliance: a virtual deduplication appliance that provides data protection for entry, enterprise, and service-provider environments.

Before you deploy the Cyber Recovery solution on Google Cloud Platform, go to Google Cloud Marketplace: Dell PowerProtect DD Virtual Edition at https://console.cloud.google.com/marketplace/product/dellemc-ddve-public/powerprotect-dd-virtual-edition to accept the terms and subscribe to the software.

NOTE Multiple production PowerProtect DD systems can replicate data to multiple DDVE appliances in the Cyber Recovery vault on Google Cloud Platform.
