Removing the battery

1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the:
   1. microSD card
   2. base cover
3. To remove the battery:
   1. Remove the single (M2x3) screw and lift the right metal bracket that secures the battery cable to the system board [1, 2].
   2. Peel the adhesive tape that secures the keyboard cable in place [3].
   3. Disconnect the keyboard cable from the connector in the system board [4].
      
   4. Remove the single (M2x3) screw and lift the left metal bracket that secures the battery cable to the connector on the battery [1, 2].
   5. Unroute the battery cable [3].
   6. Peel the adhesive that secures the battery cable to the system board [4].
      
   7. Remove the 3 (M2x3) screws that secure the battery to the system [1].
   8. Lift the battery away from the system [2].
