Removing display assembly
Steps
Follow the procedure in
Before working inside your computer
.
Remove the:
microSD card
base cover
battery
To remove the display assembly:
Remove the single (M2x4) screw that secures the eDP bracket to the system board

.
Remove the eDP bracket away from the system
[2]
.
Peel the adhesive tape that secures the eDP cable to the system board
[3]
.
Lift the latch and, disconnect the eDP cable from the connector on the system board
[4]
.
Peel the adhesive tape that secures the cable to the system
[5]
.
Turn the system.
Place the system in a 90° position on the edge of a plane surface with the display facing down.
Remove the 6 (M2.5x5) display hinge bracket screws that secure the display assembly to the system [1].
Lift the display assembly away from the system [2].
