Installing the display cable
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
The following image indicates the location of the display cable and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
- Adhere the display cable on the display back-cover.
- Route the display cable through the routing channel on the display back-cover.
- Adhere the conductive tape to secure the display cable in place.
- Connect the display cable to the connector on the camera module.
- Adhere the conductive tape on the left display hinge to secure the display cable in place.
NOTE:For Chromebook 3110 computers shipped with WWAN, route the display cable along the routing channels at the bottom-left side of the display back-cover and then adhere the piece of conductive tape to secure the display cable in place.
