Dell APEX Navigator for Multicloud Storage Using Your Service
Using Elastic Block Store (EBS) volume encryption
EBS encryption in AWS is an encryption solution that must be enabled as a best practice when using Dell APEX Navigator to deploy a system to AWS.
Enabling EBS encryption in AWS encrypts the following:
- Data at rest within a volume
- Data moving between a volume and an instance
- Snapshots created from a volume
- Volumes created from snapshots
You must perform additional configuration to grant Dell APEX Navigator with the necessary permissions to carry out a storage offer deployment when AWS EBS volume encryption is enabled by default.
