CSM for Application Mobility provides Kubernetes administrators with the ability to clone their stateful application workloads and application data to other clusters. More information on Application Mobility is provided later in this guide. The procedure details how to select and configure Application Mobility. This puts it in place to support managing object stores and for cloning.
Prerequisites
You have a Premium license running on a cluster.
You have a CSI driver installed on a cluster.
You have an external S3-compatible object store that has been or can be added to APEX.
About this task
This procedure describes how to enable Application Mobility. Application Mobility can only be installed if you have a Premium license assigned to the cluster.
Steps
In the
Select Premium Modules screen, Click the
Application Mobility box.
In the
Config menu, select an
Object Store. This can either be one of the already added object stores in the Storage tab, or you can add a new object store to use during this configuration.
You must provide the Username and Password for the object store when selecting a previously added one. When adding a new object store, you must provide all of the information requested in the UI. The object store will only be added after confirming the installation on the final review stage. If you cancel out of this workflow without submitting the install, no new object store will be added.
Detailed information is provided in the chapter on Application Mobility.
