Procedure

NOTE: The system board shipped in your computer may differ from the system board shown in the images below.

Disconnect the USB-port cable, front-panel light board cable, and power-button board cable from the system board. For information on the location of connectors, see “System- board components”.
Remove the screws that secure the back panel to the chassis.

Turn the chassis over.
Push the tab at the bottom of the back panel and use a plastic scribe to remove the back panel from the chassis.

Remove the screws that secure the system board to the chassis.
Lift the system board at an angle and remove it from the chassis.
