Procedure

  1. Align the screw hole on the system board with the screw hole on the palm-rest assembly.
  2. Replace the five screws (M2x2) that secure the system board to the palm-rest assembly. Image: Replacing the system board
  3. Connect the power-button cable to the system board.
  4. Connect the camera cable to the system board and close the latch to secure the cable.
  5. Connect the coin-cell battery to the system board.
  6. Connect the keyboard back-light cable to the system board and close the latch to secure the cable.
  7. Connect the touchpad cable to the system board and close the latch to secure the cable.
  8. Connect the keyboard cable to the system board and close the latch to secure the cable.

  10. Connect the display cable and close the latch to secure the cable.
  11. Adhere the tape that secures the display cable to the system board.
  12. Align the screw holes of the USB Type-C port bracket with the screw holes on the system board.
  13. Replace the two screws (M2x3) that secure the USB Type-C port bracket to the system board.Image: Replacing the system board
