Removing the battery
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the base cover.
About this task
The following image indicates the location of the battery and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Using the pull tab, disconnect the battery cable from the system board and remove it from the routing guides on the computer base, if applicable.
- Remove the six screws (M2.5x5) that secure the battery to the palm-rest assembly.
- Lift the battery off the palm-rest assembly.
