Installing the processor
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
The following image indicates the location of the processor and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
- Align the triangle on the processor with the triangle on the processor socket.
- Place the processor in the processor socket on the system board.
- Close the processor cover.
- Push the lever on the processor cover and lock it in place to secure the processor.
