Procedure

NOTE Note the routing of all cables as you remove them so that you can route them correctly after you replace the power-supply unit.
  1. Lay the chassis on the right side.
  2. Press the release tabs on the power cables and disconnect all the cables from the power-supply unit.
  3. Remove the four screws (#6-32x6) that secure the power-supply unit to the back of the chassis.

  4. Lift the power-supply unit cover away from the chassis.

  5. Slide the power-supply unit out through the back of the chassis and remove it from the computer.

  6. Remove the four screws (#6-32x6) that secure the metal bracket to the power-supply unit.
  7. Remove the metal bracket from the power-supply unit.
