Limitations for VMware Horizon

  • Time zone sync mismatch—Certain time zones mismatch during synchronization due to VMware limitation.
  • The keyboard layout sync mismatch—Keyboard layouts mismatch during synchronization due to VMware limitation.
  • CapsLock and NumLock LED does not sync in Blast session.
  • Touch screen does not work on seamless application window and RDSH windows due to VMware limitation.
  • Right-click and double-click does not work on desktop window for touchscreen due to VMware limitation.
  • If VMware Horizon remote session relative mouse is enabled, occasionally the mouse does not work well on VNC.
  • Seamless application does not have software development kit support. If you launch two applications on the same server and drag or move one of the windows, the other window shows a black screen temporarily.
  • If you change the mouse pointer size to a number greater than 3 in a Blast session, you must use Ctrl+Alt to exit the session and view the floating bar on the ThinOS modern desktop.
  • Camera redirection support is limited. A blank screen is displayed. This issue is due to VMware Horizon limitation.
  • USB disk mapping is not supported by VMware Horizon on ThinOS 9.1.
  • Video performance is poor since Multimedia redirection (MMR) is not supported on ThinOS 9.1.
  • Limitations for VMware Horizon in Wyse Management Suite or Admin Policy Tool:
    • If you change any Horizon-related configuration, you must sign off from the broker and sign in again for the changes to be applied.
    • Set the force redirect setting for Horizon from Broker settings > VMware Broker Settings Include Vid/Pid USB Device Redirection according to tooltips. The setting changes in Peripheral Management > USB RedirectionvUSB Force Redirect do not work.
