Convert a non-RAID disk to RAID-capable
To convert a non–RAID disk to RAID capable disk from the HII Configuration Utility, perform the following steps:
Steps
- Enter the Dell PERC 12 Configuration Utility. See Navigate to the PERC 12 Configuration Utility.

Click
. An enclosure number can be 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and so on.
All the physical disks associated with the selected enclosure are listed.
- Select the physical disk.
- From the Operations list, select Convert to RAID capable.

Click
Go.
A screen appears asking if you are sure you want to perform the operation.
- Select the Confirm option.

Click
Yes.
The operation is successful.
