Unified Write
Filter (UWF) is a sector-based write filter that you must use to protect
your storage media. UWF intercepts all write attempts to a protected
volume and redirects those write attempts to a virtual overlay.
WARNING:Failure
to keep the Write Filter turned on (except for regular maintenance
or Application/Driver installs or upgrades) will prematurely wear
out your Flash/ SSD storage and invalidate your warranty.
For
more information about UWF, browse Unified Write Filter on www.microsoft.com.
