Verifying the digital signature on systems running Linux

Steps

  1. Find the public key file gpg-pub.key from the .zip file downloaded in Downloading the Dell PowerFlex SRA.
  2. Import the public key to the GPG trust database by running the following command: 
    gpg --import gpg-pub.key
  3. Optionally, trust the imported key with the following steps to avoid the distrusted key warning:
    1. gpg --edit-key <key fingerprint>
    2. In the GPG key editor, enter trust.
    3. In the selections, select an option to trust.
      For example, select 5 to trust ultimately.
    4. Press y to confirm the choice.
    5. Enter quit to exit the GPG key editor.
  4. Enter the following command to verify the installer:
    gpg –verify Dell_PowerFlex_SRA_Linux_v.1.0.1.67.tar.gz.
