debug ptp

Enables debug logs for the PTP stack.

Syntax
debug ptp {all | bmca | protocol | servo | system | timestamps} {level level}
Parameters
  • all—All debug logs of system, stack, and servo
  • bmca—Best Master Clock Algorithm (BMCA) logs
  • protocol—PTP protocol engine and transport layer logs
  • servo—Servo and PLL logs
  • system—System and task logs
  • timestamps—Logs related to timestamps
  • level—Specify the debug log level. Enter a value from 1 to 5. Level 1 is critical and level 5 is informational.

  • Debug: Not enabled
  • Debug level: 1

Usage Information

Debug log messages are stored in the following file: /var/log/ptp.log. The debug ptp system command logs all information about internal data structures and is useful for debugging issues.
