Set rebuild and rebalance settings using PowerFlex versions prior to 3.5

Use this procedure to define rebuild and rebalance settings for PowerFlex versions prior to 3.5.

Steps

  1. Select the following options to set the network throttling:
    1. Log in to the PowerFlex GUI.
    2. Click Backend > Storage.
    3. Right-click protection domain, and select Set Network Throttling.
      • Rebalance per SDS: Unlimited
      • Rebuild per SDS: Unlimited
      • Overall per SDS: Unlimited
  2. Select the following options to set the I/O priority:
    1. In PowerFlex GUI, click Backend > Storage.
    2. Right-click storage pool, and select Set I/O Priority.
    3. To set the rebuild:
      • Limit concurrent I/O.
      • Rebuild concurrent I/O limit: Unlimited
    4. To set the rebalance, click the Rebalance tab:
      • Favor application I/O
      • Rebalance concurrent I/O limit: Unlimited
      • Max speed per device: 10240
