Disabling the Data Server RAM read cache with the PowerFlex CLI

Disable the RAM read cache on the storage data server (SDS) with the PowerFlex CLI.

Steps

  1. From the PowerFlex CLI, from the primary PowerFlex metadata managers (MDM), type scli --query_all_sds to get a list of PowerFlex nodes.
  2. Type scli --query_sds --sds_name sds_name to determine if RAM read cache is listed for any PowerFlex nodes.
  3. Type scli --disable_sds_rmcache --sds_name sds_name --i_am_sure for any PowerFlex nodes using RAM read cache.
  4. Type scli --query_sds --sds_name sds_name for each PowerFlex node, and confirm that RAM read cache is now disabled.
