Disabling the Data Server RAM read cache with the PowerFlex CLI
Disable the RAM read cache on the storage data server (SDS) with the PowerFlex CLI.
Steps
- From the PowerFlex CLI, from the primary PowerFlex metadata managers (MDM), type scli --query_all_sds to get a list of PowerFlex nodes.
- Type scli --query_sds --sds_name sds_name to determine if RAM read cache is listed for any PowerFlex nodes.
- Type scli --disable_sds_rmcache --sds_name sds_name --i_am_sure for any PowerFlex nodes using RAM read cache.
- Type scli --query_sds --sds_name sds_name for each PowerFlex node, and confirm that RAM read cache is now disabled.
