Deploy the PowerFlex gateway

Perform this task to deploy the PowerFlex gateway.

Prerequisites

Ensure that the management environment has the available resources to deploy the PowerFlex gateway:

About this task

After the gateway deployment completes, if necessary, see the instructions in the knowledge base article to resolve the following error: The Root Directory Filled up due to large Localhost_access.log files

NOTE:PowerFlex management controller 2.0 requires two gateways installed one for management, and one for the customer. For choosing the appropriate volume and datastores during the PowerFlex gateway installation, see PowerFlex management controller datastore and virtual machine details for more information.

Steps

From the PowerFlex Manager menu, click Templates.
On the Templates page, click Add a Template.
In the Add a Template wizard, click Clone an existing PowerFlex Manager template.
For Category, select Sample Templates. For Template to be Cloned, select Management - PowerFlex Gateway. Click Next.
On the Template Information page, provide the template name, template category, template description, firmware and software compliance, and who should have access to the service deployed from this template. Click Next.
On the Additional Settings page, enter new values for the Network Settings, PowerFlex Gateway Settings, and Cluster Settings.
Click Finish.
After creating the template, click Templates, select the PowerFlex gateway template, and click Edit.
Edit the PowerFlex gateway and VMware cluster, select the required field, and click Save.
Publish the template and deploy the service.
