Create a compression storage pool using the PowerFlex GUI
A storage pool is a group of devices within a protection domain. Use this procedure to create a compression storage pool with a PowerFlex version prior to 3.5.
Prerequisites
Identify a protection domain that has NVDIMM acceleration configured. See Identify NVDIMM acceleration pool in a protection domain for more information.
About this task
Steps
- Log in to PowerFlex GUI.
- Select
.
- Right-click the protection domain that is configured by NVDIMM acceleration and select
Add Storage Pool.
- Add the following new storage pool details:
- Name: Provide Name
- Media Type: SSD
- Data Layout: Fine Granularity
- Acceleration Pool: Select Acceleration Pool
- Fine Granularity: Enable Compression
- Click OK and click Close.
