Configure the Dell EMC PowerSwitch aggregation switches

Configure the Dell EMC PowerSwitch S5232F-ON aggregation switches.

1. For global configurations, type the following in the Dell OS switch CLI:

   ip vrf management
   interface management     
   interface vlan <vlan id>
   hostname <name of device> 
   ip vrf default 
   no ip igmp snooping enable 
   no multicast snooping flood-restrict 
   iscsi target port 860
   iscsi target port 3260 
   spanning-tree mode rstp 
   spanning-tree rstp priority <priority number> 
   class-map type application class-iscsi 
   policy-map type application policy-iscsi

2. For interface configurations, type the following:

   Access port configuration :
    
   interface Ethernet <slot>/<port>
   switchport access vlan <vlan id>
   no shutdown
   
   Trunk port configuration :
   	 
   interface Ethernet <slot>/<port> 
   switchport mode trunk
   switchport trunk allowed vlan <vlan id>
   no shutdown
   
   Management port configuration :
    
   interface mgmt1/1/1
   no shutdown
   no ip address dhcp
   ip address <ip address>
   ipv6 address autoconfig
     
   vlan configuration :
         
   interface vlan<vlan id>
   description <name>
   no shutdown
   ip address <ip address>
        
   port channel interface configuration :
    
   interface ethernet <slot>/<port>
   description <name>
   no shutdown
   channel-group <channel number> mode active
   no switchport
   flowcontrol receive off
   flowcontrol transmit off

3. For management route configurations, type the following:

   management route 0.0.0.0/0 <gateway ip>

4. For port channel configurations, type the following:

   interface port-channel<channel number>
   no shutdown
   switchport mode trunk
   switchport access vlan <vlan id>
   switchport trunk allowed vlan <vlan id’s>
   vlt-port-channel <channel number> 

5. For VLT configurations, type the following:

   vlt-domain <domain id>
   backup destination <management ip address of peer device>
   discovery-interface ethernet <1/1/x-1/1-x>
   peer-routing
   primary-priority <priority number>
   vlt-mac <virtual mac address>

6. For VRRP configurations, type the following:

   interface vlan<vlan id>
   description <description>
   no shutdown
   ip address <ipaddress>/<subnetmask>
   vrrp-group <vrrp id>
   virtual-address <virtual ipaddress>
