Adding PowerFlex SSL certificates to lockbox

Add the PowerFlex SSL certificates to lockbox as part of configuring PowerFlex for Secure Remote Services.

About this task

You can reuse a certificate from another PowerFlex gateway if necessary.

Steps

  1. Direct your browser to esrs_gw_ip:9443 and download the SSL Certificate.
  2. Select SHA-1 Certificate > View Certificate > Copy to a file.
  3. Select Root Certificate > View Certificate > Copy to a file.
  4. Use WinSCP to transfer the certificates to the PowerFlex gateway root directory.
  5. From the PowerFlex CLI, type the following:
    curl -k -v --basic --user admin:VMwar3123
    https://sio_gw_ip/api/login
  6. Copy the token to a text file.
  7. Type the following to import the root certificate:
    curl -k -v --basic -uadmin:Token --form "file=@certificate_file_from_web_browser" https://sio_gw_ip/api/trustHostCertificate/Mdm
  8. Type the following to import the SHA-1 certificate:
    curl -k -v --basic -uadmin:Token --form "file=@certificate_file_from_web_browser" https://sio_gw_ip/api/trustHostCertificate/Mdm
  9. Type the following to restart the PowerFlex gateway in order to re-read lockbox:
    service scaleio-gateway restart
