Add or modify user accounts

Add or modify user accounts using PowerFlex Manager.

Steps

Log in to PowerFlex Manager.
If you want to ... Do this...
Create a user
  1. On the menu bar, click Settings and click Users.
  2. On the Users page, click Create.
  3. Enter current password (password of user that is currently logged in).
  4. Enter a unique User Name to identify the user account.
  5. Enter a Password that a user enters to access PowerFlex Manager. Confirm the password. The password length must be between 8–32 characters and must include at least one number, one capital letter, one lowercase letter.
  6. Enter the user’s First Name and Last Name.
  7. From the Role drop-down list, select one of the following roles:
    • Administrator
    • Standard
    • Read-only
    • Operator
  8. Enter the Email address and Phone number for contacting the user.
  9. Select Enable User to create the account with an Enabled status, or clear this option to create the account with a Disabled status.
  10. Click Save.
Edit a user
  1. On the menu bar, click Settings and click Users.
  2. On the Users page, select the user account that you want to edit.
  3. Click Edit. For security purpose, confirm your password before editing the user.
  4. You can modify the following user account information from this window:
    • First name
    • Last name
    • Role
    • Email
    • Phone
    • Enable user (If you select the Enable user check box, the user can log in to PowerFlex Manager. If you disable the check box, the user cannot log in.)
  5. Click Save.
Delete a user
  1. On the menu bar, click Settings and click Users.
  2. On the Users page, select the user account that you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete. Click Yes in the warning message to delete the accounts.
Enable or disable a user
  1. On the menu bar, click Settings and click Users.
  2. On the Users page, select one or more user accounts to enable/disable.
  3. In the menu, click Enable or Disable, to update the state to enabled or disabled, as selected.
    NOTE For an already enabled user account State, the Enable option in the menu is deactivated, and for an already disabled user account State, the Disable option in the menu is deactivated.
