Steps
Unpack the new system board assembly.
Holding the system board by the system board
handle and the system board holder, angle it toward the back of the
chassis.
Slide the system board toward the back of the
chassis, until the CMC connectors align with the chassis slots.
Align the system board with the guide pins
on the chassis and lower it into the chassis.
Lower the system board handle until it engages
with the securing pins on the chassis.
Tighten the spring-loaded screw on the system
board handle to secure it to the chassis.
Replace the following:
integrated storage controller card
CMC cards
power distribution board
PCIe cage
hard drive backplane
backplane expander board
cooling fan assembly
cooling shroud
Reconnect all cables to the system board.
Close the system.
If applicable, place the system upright on
a flat, stable surface and rotate the system feet outward.
Reinstall the following:
hard drives
server modules
power supply units
Reconnect the enclosure to its electrical outlet
and turn the enclosure on, including any attached peripherals.
Turn on the server modules using the operating
system commands or the CMC.
If applicable, install the front bezel.
Import your new or existing iDRAC Enterprise
