ECS 3.6.1 Administration Guide
Maintenance
ECS allows you to monitor and manage disks.
All the current generation 1, 2 & 3 hardware are supported for monitoring the disk status.
Replacing a disk by a user using the ECS UI is only supported for:
- Gen3 Hardware (all EX-Series)
- Gen2 Hardware (only U-Series)
NOTE For hardware other than above, a support request is required, to replace disks.
The supported disk types are:
- NVMe SSD
- HDD
- SSD (used for SSD read cache functionality only)
Following is a description of the disk color coding:
- Red: These disks require your attention.
- Yellow : These disks are having problems and are recovering. No action required.
- Blue: These disks require your action.
- Green: These disks are operating normally.
