Default group

When you turn the File System setting on for a bucket to enable file system access, you can assign a default group for the bucket. The default group is a Unix group, the members of which have permissions on the bucket when it is accessed as a file system. Without this assignment, only the bucket owner can access the file system.

You can also specify Unix permissions that are applied to files and directories created using object protocols so that they are accessible when the bucket is accessed as a file system.
