Installing the Windows client on Windows Server Core installations

1. Log in to the server as an administrator.
2. Use WinSCP or FTP to copy the Avamar Client for Windows installation package from the download temporary folder to a temporary folder on the Windows Server Core computer.
   Alternatively, use the net use command from the Server Core computer to connect to a shared folder with the client install package file.
3. Use the cd command to browse to the temporary folder with the client installation package.
4. Start the software installation by typing the following command:
   msiexec /i AvamarClient-windows-x86_64-version.msi

   where version is the Avamar client version.

   The installation wizard appears.
