Identity Provider

An identity provider (IdP)is a trusted provider that lets you use single sign-on (SSO) to access other websites. With an identity provider, you can manage the identities of account users outside of ObjectScale and give these external user identities permissions to use ObjectScale resources in an account.

Security Assertion Markup Language 2.0 (SAML) is an open federation standard that allows an identity provider to authenticate users and pass identity and security information about them to a service provider (SP), typically an application or service.

Currently, ObjectScale only supports the SAML identity provider.

An identity provider always belongs to an account.
