Removing the camera
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer
- Remove the SD memory card
- Remove the base cover
- Remove the battery
- Remove the WLAN
- Remove the SSD
- Remove the hard drive assembly
- Remove the system fan
- Remove the heatsink
- Remove the display assembly
- Remove the display bezel
Steps
- Using a plastic scribe, gently pry the camera off the display back-cover and antenna assembly [1].
- Disconnect the camera cable from the camera module [2].
- Lift the camera module from the display back-cover and antenna assembly [3].
