Removing the coin-cell
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer
- Remove the SD memory card
- Remove the optical drive assembly
- Remove the base cover
- Disconnect the battery cable from the connector on the system board.
Steps
- Using a plastic scribe, gently pry the coin-cell battery out of the slot on the I/O board [1].
- Remove the coin-cell battery away from the system [2].
