Removing the display assembly
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
- Remove the SD card.
- Remove the base cover.
- Disconnect the battery cable.
- Remove the WLAN.
About this task
Steps
- Disconnect the display cable from the connector on the system board.
- Unthread the display cable and WLAN antenna cables from the routing channels.
- Open the system to at least 90-degrees and place the system on the edge of a table so that the palm rest is laying flat on the table and the display assembly is over the edge.
- Remove the four (M2.5x5) screws securing the display assembly in place.
- Remove the display assembly from the system.
